having a button just to show what # you want.
I am a Collector of #1's thats all i really collect. if there was a way to show the comics that I have a #1 for it wont be so hard to look through the whole list to figure out which series i have a #1 for and which i don't im in and out of a lot of comics shops and this would help me a whole lot.

Add Cover Date, Era, Age,... in Piles.
Here are a few ideas I'd like to see added to all Piles/Lists;
Show Cover Date in Piles for quick reference instead of having to click on series Title, scroll, and click on individual issues to find the date, then go-back, or having to open another Tab and switch back and fourth.
Show comic "Era" column; i.e, "G" (Golden Age), "S" (Silver Age),.. Simple, helpful detail to quickly reference a comics age. And speaking of age, how about showing how old it is in real time?

View collection in sequential order
When in "slide show" the application should display the collection in alphabetical sequence and numbered order.

Search Bar in Characters/Contributors
When we go to the Character List or Contributor list it would be nice to have a Search Bar added to the top as well so you do not have to sift through all the names by scrolling because that could take a while with letters that have a lot of entries. Another idea to add on to as well is maybe putting these search bars on the homepage too underneath "search by publisher" and search by series".

proving your comics are now out of circulation
the ability to scan the code on a comic or somthing such as that, so you can prove its your own and that its in your hands and no longer in circulation.

alerts for new comics released directly in part of a series you have collected
you should have the option to be alerted when a new comic is released in a running series that you currently have part of in your collection.

'bulk upload' your entire collection via a text file, preferably by barcode
The ability to upload your entire collection at once, by uploading a text file containing all the barcodes of your comics to the website, instead of having to have to search for all of your comics titles through the web ui and adding them manually one by one.

Add "Layouts" as an option to the contributors category.
A number of artists who did a lot of work - like Jack Kirby - would just do rough or tight layouts of interior pages of some books that would later be pencilled and inked by others.

Ebay analyzer shows if you own the copy thats posted or not
when searching for "ready to explode" or "hot items" there's a column that shows that you own a copy of that book.

Sharing the Site: Limited Public Viewing of my Wishlist & Collection...
So, I've been thinking of a new way to increase site traffic as well as a great way to help ourselves during gift-giving occasions.
Maybe tricky:
How-about we make Wishlists (and/or Collections) visible to friends and family without allowing them to make alterations to the lists or accessing my password (i.e. similar to Amazon).Even trickier:
I'd probably also want the option to keep some items off that "Viewlist" (i.e. embarrassing childhood choices/gifts or far-too-mature listings)."Share the fun-factor!"

A Speedy "Whoops!" (Typo) Feature in Entering Inventory:
…So, I'm currently at that VERY BUSY STAGE of entering my basic, hefty Inventory online, and thus listing "My Collection" & "Want List" items per title. Sometimes I realize I just screwed-up with my designation, one way or another. To remove a designation I have to go to My Profile's Collection and/or Want lists and then remove my item(s) from either or both. That's all a bit fussy, really ... especially without thumbnails present! Top 25/ Top Collectors List
Just throwing this idea out there... What if members had the option of having their collections included in a top 25 (or rank every member 1-how ever many people are on CBR) in terms of value with sub categories for Publisher, Graded issues, select popular titles, etc.
A little competition might push some folks to log in more.
And to curb some of the honors system abusers, only make the option available for people with xxxx-amount of comics filed.9 votes -
Who owns it: Enhance the Market Report
It appears that there is currently no way to get a list of who owns a particular issue in your want list. The "who owns it" button in the market report gives you one list, of everyone who owns any issue in your want list. If you are looking for the 8 people who own a particular issue, it can be impossible to find them amongst all of the other folks and issues.
Is there a way to add an ability to search for who owns a particular issue in your want list, rather than just who owns any issue…

Selling CGC comics
I have listed a CGC comic, but there is no way to identify that in my sell list. It only looks like I want a lot of money for a regular issue. I made a note that the comic is CGC, but that isn't showing up when the item is listed for sale. If you can select that the comic is certified, why can't that be shown? Or the very least give an option to show the notes that say it's a CGC comic.

include image icon in collection
Currently there is an image icon in the database that is red (when there is no image) and blue (when there is). Having that same icon on one's collection screen would be helpful in quickly identifying what comics we have that can be scanned and added to the database.
On a related note, having a link at the issue level to jump directly to that part of the database rather than having to click the title and then scroll through to the actual issue would be helpful, too.

A report that utilizes the certificate/signature/notes fields
When you add a comic there are the cert/sig/notes fields that allow you to add a check and/or enter notes. It would be nice to generate a report showing me the comics from my collection that have an entry in one of these fields.

Get points given for submitting sales price updates
Do you follow certain types of books on EBay, Comic Link, Heritage Auctions, or any other comic selling sites and know the FAIR MARKET VALUE should be updated. No matter if it is raw or professionally third party graded we need your help. Suggest pricing changes for an issue and then provide good references for why the price needs to be changed. If the moderators approve what you submitted then you get points. It is that simple.

Change the forum index.
I was thinking we should update the forum when people come on it to see topics that are newly posted or new to them since last log on, unanswered posts, or a member watch for when that member last posted on the forum, which could help to find that they are not active any more.
Does anyone else have any ideas to make things flow or look better on here?

add a TagCloud Bar
I frequently search for the same 20 titles (Batman, Superman, Spider-man, etc.) having a personalized TagCloud that tracks my last 50 searches, would make it easier to search the frequently visited webpages.

Advanced Completion Report
…Can we add the ability to the completion report to catalog by 1st printing, rather than variant? Many publishers (ex Zenescope) print several cover price covers for each comic on the first printing. Right now if you get cover B instead of cover A, and run a missing comics report, ignoring variants, it wont pick up that you have a copy of that issue (because you ignored variants). I was thinkin maybe we could add an ability to request a completion report based on having any issue from first print, which might solve this kind of issue, and give a4 votes
