That only works if the members have listed it for sale. Im wanting it to show who owns the comic, regardless if they have listed it for sale.
I dont have any of my comics listed for sale, including the ones I have dupes of, but if someone came along and made me the right offer, I might be selling, so it makes sense to do this.

Another thought is, instead of tracking by printing, we could add an "alternate cover" entry, and track by that, since most shops, if a first print is coming out with several cover price covers, tend to term them "alternates" rather than "variants". I dont know if that would be easier or harder than tracking by printing, but it would help distinguish between cover price alternates, such as Zenescope puts out, and true 1:XX variants, such as you might have with other books (like Marvel is fond of).

I like this, and its similar to something I was requesting a while back. I think one of the difficulties is the ability to recognize whether you own one of each issue, because variants get looked at differently or something like that.
Even just the ability to have the individual himself check a box that says his run is complete. That might be easier to code for.
