  2. Bring back the report that allows you to find users who want comics that you own.

I had been logging comics for years on CBR !!! to finally be able to use that report to find users who want batches of comics that I own so that I could sell/ship them in bulk. Please bring it back!

  3. Ability to bulk edit grades of comics in collection

Add the ability to edit comics in collection using the same GUI that is available when adding new comics to collection. This would be very similar to how you can 'set all grades' when adding new comics to your collection. Ideally the featured would allow to check off which comics to bulk edit, the set all grades for those.

  4. Search for Publisher should have a "5 last searched" feature

Instead of scrolling through 100 alphabetical superfluous publishers, Marvel and DC should be listed first and the last 5 searches should be at the top of the list .... Sorta like in Microsoft Word when using the Fonts. They're alphabetized but the 5 most recent 'favorite' fonts are listed first for easier usage.

  5. Identify issues from your Want List when viewing someone's Sell List

When you take a look at someone else's Sell List, it shows whether you already have that issue or not and what the current grade of your issue is in the YOUR BEST column.

I would like to suggest that if you have identified the issue in your Want List that it should show a Red W in the YOUR BEST column.

I think that in the case where you already have a copy of the issue, but still have it on your WANT LIST then it should not show the grade, but should show the red W instead.

  6. Make it possible to keep track of SOLD items separate from the main list

Basically this would allow you to create a pile(s) and with an option indicate whether this item was to be calculated as being part of your current collection. So if I sell 50 books as readers somewhere, I can create a new pile and then change the pile these books are in to the new pile which is NOT part of my current collection. Kind of a way to look at what I had if I sold it off without making me think I still have it when I look at the main set of books-- or confusing someone trying…

  8. add a sub-header for titles called specials and a subheader for one-shots

where you have issues, annuals, tpb and hardcover, add specials. This means when a 'special' or 'one-shot' comes out, it can be added in that area, for example recent(2014) reprint detective comics #27, or the DC futures end titles, these can just be called by title rather than a number. This should also prevent title bloating on the database.

  9. State of the Realm report

I really like CBR and would like to see a quarterly or annual "state of the realm" report that shows the number of new users, new titles added, new characters added, new enhancement requests submitted, enhancements delivered, new lifetime users, and maybe a very high level annual financial summary (donations collected & amount spent).

  10. How about adding Art Books and Sketchbooks?

While attending art school I got interested in other aspects of the comic industry, specifically the art side. I started collecting art prints, original comic art, sketchbooks, and hard cover art books. I have been looking for a single comic site that tracked these items and have yet to really find one. While it would be nice to have all of these aspects of the comic market covered on Comic Book Realm, I realize that is a pretty massive undertaking, especially the art print and original comic art side. Plus there are sites out there that already specialize in prints…

  11. Quarterly, Semi-Annual, Annual, or Rolling 6 Month Price Movement Summary

I think it would be great to have a roll-up of all the comics or series that gained or lost value in quarter, semi-annual (current year), annual, or a rolling 6 months. I try and keep track via the on-the-move report but comics come and go. I think a report that captures all CBR changes, based on the above, would add value to the site. Thanks!

  12. Allow import of UPC values from app such as comic shelf

Comic Shelf app is what I've been using for a while to inventory my collection and I would love to be able to import it to comic book realm and check the values.

  13. An easy way to see which sets or runs are complete

Just something simple to show which sets are complete, maybe highlight those, or put a star next to them, or add the total number of issues in the run next to the amount I own. Thank you.

  14. enable users to sort collection by price.

The generic sort by title is certainly useful. But what if I need to pitch my most expensive book to buy something else off e-bay? Or tell a neighbour what my 3 most valuable issues are? I think I would have to explode all my titles to scan per issue.

  16. Ability to add user notes to your collections

Would love to be able to add a note to certain issues I have added to my collection. such as if I got an issue as part of a pack or came with some extras.

For example, I have a coulple of 30th Anniverasry Spider Mans that came bundled with trading cards and large prints / over-sized cards. I would like to be able to note that in my collection so when I, or others look at my collection, it will be known I have more than just the comic alone.

Not a bid deal, minor request / suggestion, just…

  18. add a total value of the sum of a series.

So if I'm looking at say, Ultimate Spider-man or Ultimate X-men. I would like to know what the entire collection of 131 or 100 comics is worth for the purposes of buying or selling entire "lots" that are complete. I also think it would be interesting to know how much every issue of a particular run would be worth.

  19. Add a designation in character special notes for 1st app. of a character as a cameo.

Since "1:" is the designation for a character's 1st appearance, maybe we can add a "1 Cameo:" or "1(c):" to differentiate when a character's first appearance is a cameo from their first full appearance, like Wolverine in Hulk #180 (cameo) and #181 (full). So "1:" will appear as "1st full appearance" and "1 Cameo" or "1(c):" will appear as "1st appearance (cameo)" in the characters block. And if a character has multiple cameos before their first full appearance, you might have to add a "2(c)" or "3(c)" as options.

  20. Trending

add a notification at login that shows any comics that increase in value by whatever percentage the user sets for the alert. Also could be useful to have some sort of notification for comics that are becoming increasingly popular via peoples want lists, or even community trending etc.
